DCA invites you to the launch of Flexibility First in Melbourne
Under the new National Employment Standards due to take effect on 1 January 2010, certain employees have the right to request flexible working conditions. Employers must agree to the request, unless there are compelling business reasons not to do so and must provide those reasons in writing.
To help organisations successfully implement the new National Employment Standards, DCA has developed a new program to assist employers in making the transition to a more flexible workplace. Called
Flexibility First, the program is a very practical and affordable workshop designed to increase the competence and skills of supervisors and managers.
DCA is pleased to invite you to the launch of Flexibility First in Melbourne, kindly hosted by National Australia Bank.

About Flexibility First
Flexibility First is a half day program delivered either in-house or through a program open to attendees from any organisation. It will:
- Keep employers informed of changes in legislation and the new compliance environment
- Assist organisations and their key employees to understand the business case for flexibility
- Provide information on the key challenges in engaging a flexible workplace
- Provide practical guidance and (take-away) tools to organisations to assist in managing requests for flexibility, implementing flexible working arrangements, managing such arrangements and improving the capability of managers who are at the coal face of the flexible worker.
