DCA has been the advisor to Australian business on diversity issues for more than 25 years, driving business improvement through successful diversity programs.
We lead public debate by producing cutting edge research, thinking and practice on the full range of diversity issues covering all key diversity areas. We regularly prepare submissions and responses to government issues papers representing the expert views of DCA and the business perspective of DCA members on relevant issues such as the inquiry into pay equity, the proposed consolidation of Commonwealth anti-discriminations laws and the Australia in the Asian Century Issues Paper.
DCA members benefit from exclusive access to our Diversity Leadership Program and our innovative research agenda; as well as having access to unique networking opportunities with industry peers and diversity thought leaders. As we are a not for profit member based organisation, we provide access to these services and benefits to all DCA members as a part of annual membership fees.
In addition, we are able to provide member organisations with individual strategic advice and consulting in the following areas:
- Customised application of DCA research and tools for individual organisational needs (see research);
- Assistance with developing metrics to gauge the success of member programs, establish accountabilities and drive outcomes;
- Aligning talent management and diversity strategies and practices to ensure maximum success in building and retaining a diverse pipeline of talent for now and into the future;
- Developing strategies, programs and policies for member organisations that are in line with leading practice;
- Advice on how to establish appropriate diversity infrastructure such as diversity councils, diversity champions, affinity groups, contact officer networks etc;
- Recommending approaches to diversity education and training to engage staff in your diversity program;
- Advice on how to best communicate diversity efforts to stakeholders; and
- Assistance on how to improve managers’ diversity skills and capability, a key to any successful diversity program.
