Brisbane Research Update: Disability Data at Work

Collecting disability data enables organisations to understand the mix of people in their workplace and the inclusion and exclusion experiences of employees with disability. This helps organisations make informed decisions about accessibility, monitor progress, and drive positive change that supports inclusion.

DCA was in Brisbane for an in-person event where our Research Director, Dr. Jane O’Leary (she/her), unpacked findings from DCA’s joint report with the Australian Disability Network: Disability Data at Work.

This event explored key insights from the report, which sheds light on the workplace experiences of people with disability and outlines essential strategies for fostering workplace environments where employees feel safe to disclose their disability without fear of repercussions.

Following the presentation, Catherine Hunter (she/her), DCA’s CEO led a discussion with our guest panel to explore the critical role capturing disability data has in cultivating inclusive workplaces where all employees can thrive.
