
Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) is a serious and widespread problem in Australia. But despite increased understanding of DFV as a workplace issue, and mounting awareness of the need for workplaces to introduce policies that support employees, there has been an absence of information about the impact of DFV on the working lives of victim-survivors.
However, in October 2022 Monash Gender and Family Violence Prevention Centre released their report, From Workplace Sabotage To Embedded Supports: Examining the Impact of Domestic and Family Violence Across Australian Workplaces that revealed the experiences of 3,002 victim-survivors who worked in Australia while experiencing DFV.
At the next DCA Gender Equality Network we invite report co-author Professor Kate Fitz-Gibbon, Lead Researcher at the Monash Gender and Family Violence Prevention Centre at Monash University, to present the findings from their national survey.
